Have a go at making a caterpillar.  You could find something circular and use green and red paint to make prints to create your caterpillar or you could cut circles out of coloured paper.  Once it is dry can you write numbers on the green circles.  How many are there?

Here is a template of a butterfly.  Ask a grown up to help you fold it down the middle.  You can use a brush or your fingers to make a pattern with paint on one side of the butterfly.  Fold it over, pressing down firmly and when you open it up your butterfly will have symmetrical patterns on each side.
